Living at David Cargill House

David Cargill House aims to be a home from home for all our residents. Our philosophy of care is to provide a relaxed, amiable environment where our caring staff team constantly strive to ensure that residents enjoy the highest possible level of care and attention.

We support our residents to carry on enjoying social, cultural and leisure interests. We have a diverse programme arranged by our activity coordinators and often enjoy visiting entertainers. There is a well-stocked mobile library of books available, which is regularly refreshed. We have also fostered good relationships with organisations such as churches, schools and clubs in the wider community and arrange regular day trips to locations such as Loch Lomond.

We understand that adjusting to a new environment can be a difficult time and we work hard to make this transition as easy as possible for our new residents. Anyone who is interested in living at the House is encouraged to arrange to visit either alone or with family, relatives and friends. You will be able to meet with staff, enjoy a tour of the House and ask as many questions as you want. You could make subsequent visits to reassure yourself and, if you wish, join us for lunch to help you reach your decision.

A member of your family or a friend may accompany you if you wish. If you decide to move in, the first four weeks will be on a trial basis so that you can be assured that this is where you want to live.

Our light and airy rooms are regularly refreshed and there is a range of bath and wet room facilities available. We encourage all our residents to add their own personal touches to their room. Residents are also welcome to entertain guests privately in their rooms and visiting hours are open.

In addition to the comfortable bedrooms, the House offers many private areas such as our conservatory, study room and relaxation room. We also have a private room for consultations with healthcare professionals, for the administration of treatments and private discussions.

We’d be delighted to give you a tour of the House, to arrange a tour just give us a call or fill out the enquiry form.
